PRECIPITATED CALCIUM CARBONATE SPHERES
For almost 25 years PCC Norway AS have helped the industry solving their challenges. In 2002 a study was accomplished* to verify if precipitated calcium carbonate micro-particles were a more attractive cleaning agent for supragingival air polishing than standard sodium bicarbonate, which was the most common media. The study proved that the PCC spheres did not harm the enamel, and had several more advantages in the dentist operation with simultaneous patients improved experience.
PCC Norway have further improved their range of products, and introduced the PCC PROPHY 45-75 grade with unique properties. The finest particle size distribution down to 0-45 microns is also developed.
It is common sense that an abrasive agent should be CALCIUM based, with low hardness and with a spherical form of the micro-particles.
Producers who at present have challenges to eliminate Polyethylene (PE) microbeads also should evaluate PCCs green and natural products.
For industrial cleaning, the PCC standard grades have been further developed, and is used especially in the food industry by large multinationals, in sponsoring cleaning project, mould cleaning and other industries.

Production
BATCH PRODUCTION ACCORDING TO YOUR NEED
PCC Spheres are manufactured under strict surveillance by experienced personell according to your specific need. For re-packers into sachets or bottles, normally big bags of about 750-1.000 kgs on large pallets are supplied, smallest packaging unit is 25 kgs plastic buckets.

Particle
UNIQUE GREEN SPHERES WITH VERY LOW HARDNESS - SINGLE OR SPONGE
The picture show the PCC particle magnified. Normal particle size distribution is about 96 % according to the specification on each grade. Neutralizing effect in acid water, positive effect as CaCo3 is already used for water treatment, replaces other harsh media, none-biodegradable alternatives, chemicals, solvents and polyethylene microbeads.
